Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have received a passing grade of at least 50% on the F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent examination or be awaiting the outcome.
- Male and female applicants are welcome.
The KMU-CAT is required for admission to the Allied Health Science programs at KMU and its associated institutions. - Candidates must be at their designated testing facilities one hour before the scheduled exam time.
- On the day of the exam, the applicants will need to bring the following items.
- Original Certificate of Citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization, Certificate of Permanent Residence, Certificate of Citizenship, Form B, Smart Card, or Passport.

PATTERN KMU CAT 2023
KMU-CAT shall consist of a question paper containing 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into the following four (04) sections:

KMU CAT Passing Marks
The passing marks for the CAT examination shall be 60%. The mandatory requirement of having passed the KMU CAT examination shall not apply.
Important Instructions
On September 30, 2023, test takers must be at their designated testing locations at least one hour before the tests begin (i.e. 08:00 AM). On the morning of the exam, the centers will shut at 8:30 a.m.
On the day of the examination, each applicant must carry the following materials with them:
A legit Form B, Smart Card, Passport, or Original CNIC/NICOP/POC.
- A single photo and a roll no slip printout.
- Clean clipboard.
- A pair of ballpoint pens, in either blue or black (not pointers, markers, pencils, jell pens, etc.)
- Note that the Khyber Medical University Act 2007 specifies that “all Medical and Dental Colleges and all Institutions of medical and allied health sciences in the Public Sector in the North-west Frontier Province (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) shall be affiliated to the Khyber Medical University” and that “all private Medical and Dental Colleges and Institutions of medical and allied health sciences in the Province, whether affiliated with or constituent to the Khyber Medical University”
- This provision was subsequently archived in the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Health Department Notification NO. E&A(Health)/2-279/2012/Vol-V (ii) dated 17th August 2012 and the Gazette Notification dated Friday, 09th September 2016.
