How to apply for PIDE Islamabad Admission 2024 Spring?

The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics PIDE Islamabad is now accepting applications for Spring 2024 MPhil and PhD programmes. On the university application portal, interested students can submit an online application. For PIDE Islamabad, the application cost is Rs. 2000 and Rs. 1000 for extra programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD Economics

Candidates must hold an MPhil degree or an equivalent degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Environmental Economics, Health Economics, Economics and Finance, Econometrics, Development Studies, Business Administration, Demography, Public Policy, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science from a HEC-recognized university or institution with at least a first division (annual system) or CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 (in the semester system or equivalent).

  • The admissions test, interview, academic record, research publications in scholarly journals, research experience, work experience, letters of reference, and statement of purpose will all be taken into consideration when choosing applicants.
  • Students who lack the necessary background must enrol in additional (non-credit) courses to make up the gap.

PhD Econometrics Admission Criteria

Candidates with an MPhil or equivalent degree in Econometrics, Economics, Economics and Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or all other relevant disciplines from a university or institution recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and a minimum First Division (annual system) or CGPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00 in the semester system) are eligible to apply for admission.

The admissions test, interview, academic record, research publications in scholarly journals, research experience, work experience, letters of reference, and statement of purpose will all be taken into consideration when choosing applicants.

MPhil Economics Admission Criteria
